Stories have always been how I make sense of the world — and how I connect with young readers.
My books are created with care, empathy, and visual storytelling at their heart, and are illustrated especially for children and young people who are finding their place, their voice, and their people. I’m particularly drawn to stories that sit in the in-between spaces of growing up — where emotions are big, words can be hard to find, and creativity becomes a way to belong.
I write and illustrate with Australian classrooms and school libraries in mind, designing books that support:
visual literacy
emotional literacy
engagement for reluctant or transitioning readers
thoughtful discussion around identity, friendship, and self-expression
